Lord Wolfson QC returns to One Essex Court having undertaken public service as the Justice Minister in the House of Lords from December 2020 to April 2022. Prior to joining the UK Government, his practice extended across a broad range of high-value and complex commercial disputes, with a focus on banking and finance, company and insolvency, and civil fraud cases. Lord Wolfson QC has acted for a wide spectrum of banks, institutions, corporations and individuals in some of the highest profile work passing through the business courts of England & Wales, and his work in international arbitration has seen him act for investors, parastatal organisations and multinational conglomerates in jurisdictions around the world.
Before joining the Government, David’s place as one of the leading advocates of his generation was recognised with his being awarded “Commercial Litigation Silk of the Year 2020” by The Legal 500, and also “Commercial Litigation Silk of the Year” in the Chambers UK Bar Awards 2020.
